SCHOTT North America
Synopsis: The SCHOTT Solar Barometer was a multi-year study with the Solar Industries Association of America to track changes in public perception of solar, wind and nuclear.
To position SCHOTT as the nation’s foremost resource for alternative energy trends, we launched the SCHOTT Solar Barometer — a multi-year study with the Solar Industries Association of America to track changes in public perception of solar, wind and nuclear.
The Barometer became a widely used resource for the media, the business community and legislators alike, helping raise SCHOTT’s profile among numerous key stakeholders, simultaneously. Results of the survey were reported across the national media, in outlets such as USA Today, Reuters, and The Associated Press, while also influencing policy makers within the Beltway, filtering into the stump speeches of congressional members seeking to align themselves with the green movement.
Most importantly, the program also increased the German manufacturer’s footprint in the U.S. solar photovoltaic and solar thermal markets. SCHOTT was able to penetrate audiences it had never before influenced, such as the business community and the Hill, both of which would be crucial to the company cementing its position in the U.S. market.
